Heather Hacking paints in watercolours and oils and trained at Coventry College of Art.

She has illustrated childrens' educational books and greetings cards which have sold worldwide.

She has two children and a grand-daughter and lives in London with her partner and two cats.

She obtained a BA(Hons) in the History of Art from the Open University in 2004.

Her new book, Literary Cats, was launched at Foyles in Charing Cross Road with an exhibition of some of her paintings from 13th to 27th December 2006.

She also had an exhibition of her work at Sotheby's Institute of Art in Bedford Square, London from 1st to 4th March 2007.
